T-Marts Efforts to Protect Environment By Janet Lee Madison, WI(March 15)- Some large corporations have a vested interest in being socially responsible to the environment. Last Thursday, T-Mart donated $20 million to one of the environmental organizations. The funding will be used to protect the rain forest in Africa. As a result, T-Mart decided to give benefits those corporations that use eco-labeling on their products and display their products in the designated area near the entrance to receive more attention from customers who are environmentally conscious. 'We aim to give our customers a greater understanding of the importance of rain forest and wildlife,' said Mr. Campbell. Many local business owners, including Mr. Campbell attended Dr. Greens presentation yesterday at the Wildlife Center. Dr. Green thanked Mr. Campbell and said that a single individual person like Mr. Campbell who acknowledges this concern should try to lead a life in which everything he does is to better the environment.
